TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Alexis Yetna had 18 points and 10 rebounds as South Florida beat Utah Valley 66-57 in the College Basketball Invitational second round on Monday night.
David Collins had 17 points and five steals for South Florida (21-13). Laquincy Rideau added 14 points.
USF went on a 16-2 run in the second half to take a 59-43 lead with 5:29 remaining.
Ben Nakwaasah had 12 points for the Wolverines (25-10). Richard Harward and Connor MacDougall each had 10 points. Jake Toolson, the Western Athletic Conference player of the year, finished with seven points and Wyatt Lowell, the WAC freshman of the year, added three points.
